Partilha de conhecimentos e protocolos específicos para situações de emergência médica na rua vindos da prática de "Street medics", entre eles: prevenção e tratamentos de problemas de saúde comuns tais como, asma, ataques de pânico, queimaduras, mordeduras, cortes...e feridas emocionais.
"Street medics" ou médicas/os de acção são voluntárias/os, com diversos graus de treino/educação médica que participam em protestos e manifestações para providenciarem cuidados de saúde, tais como primeiros socorros.
A origem das/os "street medics" (médicas/os de rua) remonta aos estados unidos, anos 60, e aos movimentos pelos direitos civis de afro-americanos e anti guerra.
Quem partilha esta informação? Uma pessoa, " médica de rua ", promotora de saúde e estudante de medicina tradicional chinesa, cuja formação/treino começou em 2002, com vários seminários, partilhas, organização de uma clínica auto-gerida e formação em trauma emocional (1º nível).

O que são os médicos de rua?
Street medics, or action medics, are volunteers with varying degrees of medical training who attend protests and demonstrations to provide medical care such as first aid. Unlike regular emergency medical technicians, who work for state-sponsored institutions, street medics operate as civilians, and are not protected from arrest.
Street medics originated in the U.S. during the African-American Civil Rights Movement and anti-war movement in the 1960s. They conceived of medicine as self-defense, and provided medical support to the American Indian Movement (AIM), Vietnam Veterans Against the War (VVAW), Young Lords Party, Black Panther Party, and other revolutionary formations of the 1960s and 1970s. Street medics were also involved in free clinics developed by the groups they supported.
